Summer
Summer has come
holding the hand of the hot sun
who is looking at the earth with angry eyes.
The animals sheek cooling shelter under trees.
But where are enough trees?
The throats of the thirsty ponds and the rivers are dried,
The soil is being fried.
Hating the cruel people mere,
The old sun spits fire.
Summer sits on the laps of April-Jun,
All hide at furious and silent noon.
On the fields the idle noon lies,
The king of the fruits smiles,
The desert dances with delights.
They Are Walking
In the sky the stars are walking
The refugees are walking under
With a world of mourning
They are looking at each other
With the surprised eyes
Moonlight is walking holding the hand of breeze
Refugees are stepping on the barbed wire fence or on the water-border
With a piece of dream
To get a taste of a little happy-life or
To escape from the rush of decease
Many are stuck in the border
Many are being shot again or
Water-grave is taking them by power
They passing paths of thousands- years
Are navigating prematurely to the land of no return
A Gaza Infant
I am a Gaza infant,
I am orphan,
War took away and killed my parents,
It is not a war, it is an injustice,
The whole Palestine has been suffering from unjust outrage
For a long time.
I am a Gaza infant,
I am orphan.
How much my parents fondled me!
They had dreams about me,
They wanted to make me an ideal human.
How happy were the golden days
Spent with my parents!
We had a beautiful house, beautiful trees in the courtyard.
I am a Gaza infant,
I am orphan,
I had parents’ sheltering roof over my head like the ozone layer,
Dreamy days peeped in the heaven of my head,
Now all are destroyed,
The city has also been destroyed,
Now I am looking
At the blue sky with tears in my eyes.
