Accepting nomination, Hillary Clinton vows to build a better future

Pledges to work for middle class, students, rejects Mexican wall, opposes kicking out immigrants

It was an epoch-making Thursday night for America and Hillary Clinton as she became the first woman to formally accept nomination of the Democratic Party.

In a carefully constructed speech, Clinton presented herself as complete opposite to fear-based political positions of Republican rival Donald Trump.

She mounted a point-by-point rebuttal of Trump’s policies.

“He wants to divide us from the rest of the world, and from each other,” Clinton remarked to a cheerful gathering waving American flags with her husband and former president Bill Clinton, candidate for vice president Tim Kaine, and daughter Chelsea Clinton applauding in the first row.

“He’s betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise.”

“He wants us to fear the future and fear each other,” said Clinton, while vowing to build a better future for all.

Clinton said she will work with her primary rival Senator Bernie Sanders to make sure students do not face burden of loans.

Vehemently opposing immigration positions of Trump, she said it is unfair to kick out the undocumented immigrants who contribute to American economy and promised to work for comprehensive immigration reforms.

Touching on national security and foreign policy issues. Clinton said, if voted to power, her administration will work with American allies. She said the U.S. will defeat ISIS, make sure Iranian nuclear deal is followed in earnest and also vowed to ensure Israeli security.
