Michael Phelps hauled up fourth medal of the Rio Olympics Thursday evening, beating competitors including Ryan Lochte in 200-meter individual medley event – his fourth consecutive feat.

The latest victory adds to the swimmer wins in three earlier contests – the 200 butterfly, the 4×100 and 4×200 freestyle relays.

With the latest addition, Phelps now has 22 golds in his Olympic belt in a continuation of his domination of the swimming pool over the last decade.

The United States spearheads the medals table, with 16 Golds, 12 Silver and 10 Bronze meals. China is second with 11 Golds, 8 Silver and 10 Bronze medals.
