Upset with lack of support for his pre-election rigging claims, Donald Trump lashed out at Republican leaders, including House Speaker Paul Ryan for pushing back against his statement.
“Of course there is large scale voter fraud happening on and before election day. Why do Republican leaders deny what is going on? So naive!” Trump tweeted.
The real estate businessman has been confronted with a spate of sexual assalut scandals in recent days with severl media outlets, women’s organizations and politicians reacting with scathing criticism of him.
But that that is not the only worry for him.
After faulting the party leaders, Trump aired a unity message for the deeply fractured scene, saying, “We have all got to come together and win this election. We can’t have four more years of Obama (or worse!).”
Last week, release of a 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape in which the billionaire businessman boasts of his sexual advances against women has led to outburst of wrath for his insensitive talk, which he has tried to dismiss.
The Republican nominee has forcefully rejected allegations leveled by several women.
This week, Trump expressed disbelief that his female accusers are being viewed as credible, and suggested that Vice President Joe Biden is guilty of being a groper.
“Can’t believe these totally phoney stories, 100% made up by women (many already proven false) and pushed big time by press, have impact!” Trump tweeted.
He also retweet from New York radio host Mark Simone, who tweeted out a video with the message, “Watch Joe Biden’s Long History Of Grabbing, Kissing and Groping Women Who Are Cringing.”
According to reports, the video is a compilation of Biden offering lingering hugs and tender gestures to Hillary Clinton and female family members during the Senate ceremonial swearing-in. Biden, who has long been an advocate of sexual assault prevention, directly called Trump’s talk on the “Access Hollywood” tape “sexual assault.”
Biden’s office has made no immediate comments.
Meanwhile, in an interview with NPR, Biden said Trump is doing a dangerous thing with allegations of rigging.
“There’s only one way to make sure there’s no traction — vote. Vote,” Biden said. “I think when we appeal to the better angels of Americans, we’ve always succeeded,” he said.
