The first American condition for North Korean leadership to have any kind of purposeful dialogue or summit on a presidential level was to announce the de-nuclearization of Nukes altogether. Exactly that’s what the estranged leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un did earlier this month and invited U.S. President Donald Trump to visit N Korea. Trump accepted it and he is planning to pay a visit in May. It’s a huge breakthrough.
However, China which is a neighboring country has a tremendous stake of its own. China has out maneuvered Trump and preempted the sitting with Kim Jong-un by inviting him to Beijing last week. Now, Kim Jong-un has become a star in the region and everyone wants to meet him before May summit with Trump. South Korean leaders have invited him to Seoul on 27th April. Japan and Russia didn’t want to remain behind, both of these countries are planning to invite him for a dialogue before Kim meets with Trump.
At the end of the day these talks and high level meetings are great for peace-loving people like myself and many others. Talk over Fight always ought to be a first priority. KEEP HOPE ALIVE PEACE
