Saudi Arabia admits Jamal Khashoggi died in consulate

Says 18 Saudi nationals are being investigated

More than two weeks after Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi disappeared after entering the consulate in Istanbul, Riyadh has acknowledged that he died at the diplomatic facility following a fight.

In a statement released by the Saudi state media, Riyadh said 18 Saudi national have been arrested and are being investigated.

The case of Khashoggi has been under international scrutiny.

Reacting to the Saudi revelation, President Donald Trump has said the statement looks credible.
