With a goal to provide networking opportunity for small business growth in Washington metro area, the 10th Annual Asian American Business Summit & Expo will take place on October 24 in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Asian American Chamber of Commerce, the organizer, has lined up a number of speakers including finance experts and government leaders to raise awareness about ways to explore business prospects.
Among the speakers will be Jimmy Rhee, Special Secretary, Governor’s Office, Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs, Maryland, Benjamin H. Wu Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer, Department of Commerce, Maryland, Marc Elrich Montgomery County Executive, Maryland, and Shigemi Ando Economic Counselor, Embassy of Japan, the AACC announced.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for businesses to connect with the Asian Business Community, meet industry specific buyers and decision makers, and learn about opportunities in government procurement, diversified supplier programs, business enterprise certifications, international business, and commercial real estate, the Chamber said.
“Our goal is to provide a dynamic networking venue that promotes opportunity, education, strategic alliances, and small business growth,” Cindy Shao, President of the Chamber says.
The half-day event will draw a gathering of local area businesses, business owners, government agencies, and experts.
“We have designed the Business Expo program that will feature power networking opportunities and panel discussion,” Ms. Shao says.
The AACC will also announce winners of raffle winner and is currently selling tickets for a chance to win TWO ROUND TRIP TICKETS donated by the United Airline to any destination United Airline flies to in the world. Total value $12,200. According to AACC, Raffle tickets are priced $50 for one ticket and $100 for 3 tickets.
“The proceeds will help to support future chamber programs,” Ms. Shao says.
The AACC says it is also welcoming sponsors for the event.
