Doctor says the president remains symptom free

President Trump has tested negative for the novel coronavirus, the White House said Saturday.

According to the president’s doctor Sean P Conley, Trump has shown no symptoms of COVID-19 from the test he took on Friday after reports that a Brazilian official who met with him had tested positive days after the visit.

“One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation in Mar-a-Lago, the President remains symptom free,” Dr. Conley said in a statement.

Trump had earlier said that shaking hands with visiting delegates had “almost becomes a habit.”

 

 

 

 

The White House has declared national emergency as the coronavirus has spread to 44 states.

Trump has also extended the European travel ban – that came into effect Friday after coronavrius outbreak in a number of EU member countries – to the United Kingdom and Ireland beginning Monday.
