Hollywood star and UN Ambassador for Refugees Angelina Jolie will not be lecturing students at the Georgetown University this fall, a spokesperson said after earlier media reports suggested she was set to join the campus as visiting professor.
Earlier reports appeared after London School of Economic Centre for Women, Peace and Security announced in May that Jolie and former British foreign secretary William Hague would serve as visiting professors at the LSE later this year.
But according to Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security Communications Manager Sarah Rutherford Sunday, currently there are no plans for Jolie to teach at Georgetown.
“There are no current plans for Ms. Jolie to teach at Georgetown, but Angelina Jolie and William Hague have an open invitation to share their experiences and perspectives at Georgetown anytime they’re able,” a statement cited in the media said.
