IT company 1901 Group to create hurndreds of jobs in Fairfax and Montgomery counties

Virginia continues to attract new investors

Governor Ralph Northam revealed on Thursday that that 1901 Group, a provider of IT services for the public and private sectors, will invest $4 million to expand its corporate offices in Fairfax County and an enterprise IT operations center headquartered in Montgomery County, Virginia.

The expansion will result in 225 new jobs in the Fairfax County community of Reston and 580 new jobs in Montgomery County by 2021, according to Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

“1901 Group’s revenue in the federal market has increased thirty-fold in the last six years,” said Sonu Singh, CEO of 1901 Group.

“Much of this growth can be attributed to operating in the Fairfax region, which has a strong technology focus and great access to talent. Our business model also leverages the talent, the quality of life, and the advantageous cost of living in Montgomery County.”

According to FCEDA, 1901 Group is a market leader in innovative, public-sector IT services.  The company delivers cloud, cyber security, and enterprise scale managed services to transition customers from traditional on-premise IT infrastructure and support models to hybrid cloud solutions that improve performance and reduce costs.
