Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned the world against ramifications of India’s “bigoted and racist” annexation of Kashmir, saying any conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors will have serious consequences for international peace.

He was speaking in the Parliament a day after India’s ultranationalist Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrapped the constitutionally mandated special status for the disputed Kashmir territory under Indian control.

The move has stunned the world and escalated tensions between Pakistan and India that both claim Kashmir region in entirety but control parts of it.

“They (BJP) has a racist ideology. In Kashmir, they have acted according to their ideology, against their Constitution, the Supreme Court verdict and United Nations resolutions,” the Pakistani leader said.

Khan drew international attention to the BJP political party and its ideologue RSS’s hateful ideology against the Indian Muslims, warning that the Kashmiris’ struggle would intensify after India’s abrogation of Article 370.

“They (BJP) do not consider Kashmiris as their equals. They will try to suppress them which might result in a Pulwama-like (militant) incident. Then they will blame Pakistan for this,” he said referring to an incident early this year, which pushed the two countries to the edge of a conflict.

“I kept on telling them [BJP] after Pulwama that two nuclear-armed neighbors cannot take such risks and we should resolve our problems through dialogue,” he said, citing his government’s attempt to engage New Delhi in peace talks.

Khan said any conventional war between Pakistan and India devolve into a much dangerous war.

“This will be a war that no one will win and the implications will be global,” he said, asking the world to not see it as a nuclear blackmail but a common sense logic.

“Is the world prepared for this? We appeal to the world that a country which is violating laws, there will be serious consequences if the world does not intervene.”

He also asked the international community to see parallels between the BJP the Nazi party in Germany during the WW II.

“Theirs is the ideology which killed Mahatma Gandhi. If the world does not act and does not uphold its own laws, then we will not be responsible.”

He vowed to take the case to world’s diplomatic forums.
